"Blue"

Hello lovelies

I am back with another post :)
The challenge for this week's dt post for craftyscrappers was "Blue".
Well I was pretty nervous while making because I wasn't sure how will it turn out.
But the outcome was more than satisfying.
Apologies for not able to bring a detailed step by step post this time because of running a little tight on schedule.
I will try and do that in my next post for sure.
Going back to the challenge, after alot of  racking my brain, searching the net for ideas, constant staring at my dt goodies for minutes n hours ;) i finally decided to keep it simple with an easel card. Done completely in the theme blue with a little green to compliment the combination.

       Full view of the card

Using the distressing tool I distressed the edges of my patterened paper and added liquid pearls to it. Other embellishment used here are pearls, twines, ribbon and doilies.

When I had opened my dt pack the one thing that really caught my eyes was the pack of flower die cuts that konica had sent. I am no pro at flower making, but have always been intrigued with making flowers with all the little knowledge that I have I got my hands on these die cuts . These flowers are made using my punch craft tools.
For the bigger ones I took 3 die cuts each (2bigger ones and one small) and then distressed them at tge edges using dew drop memento -bahama blue.
For the smaller flower I used single die cut and distressed it in the center.
And finally added a bigger pearl in the center.
The resin flower that I have added was a part of my dt goodies :)

For the inside part of my easel card I used border die cut-lace on the edge and cut out this cute girl boy from another die cut from the assorted sizes. (Resin bows and flowers used are from my stash)

And finally added the sentiment "congratulations"

Add a picture or a message on the blank space above the flowers and there you go my easel card is all ready to be gifted.

I hope you liked it :)
Do not forget to leave some love in the comments.

TIA :)
Love Priyanka

Anything Goes

Hello beautiful people ...
I am here today with a great news... I am the new dt member for craftyscrappers group.. They are an adorable bunch of people to be honest.. So helpful and supportive... I seriously cannot thank them enough for this wonderful opprtunity :) :) I hope I do justice to their trust and expectations :)

The first theme for the dt post is Anything goes..
I am here with a shaker card using the die cuts from the store.

Folding an A4 size sheet into half, I took another sheet of paper which is smaller than the A4 folded sheet.
Using the circle die I cut out the circle in the center of the sheet of paper.

I then distressed the sheet of paper using the tim holtz chipped sapphire.

Using the sheet as stencil i used tim holtz mustard seed to give a yelloweffect right in the middle where my circle will finally stick.

I got this new york city corner die cut in my goodie kit.
I distressed these cuts in black colour and then using the white coloured pen I drew windows and door in the Buildings.

Now i have arranged the die cuts and hv cut out the excess. Arranged them in a way that excess is cut out.

I added the transaperancy sheet on which i added these buildings and also some shaking embellishments i added inside.

After i had completed the shaker part i added another die cuts couple with the umbrella and anniversary sentiment again from the store (assorted die cuts)

To give it more dimension i added small drops of  glossy accent and sprinkled crackle dust over it .
I also added the same to the umbrella which the couple is holding.
It gives a very slight shinny effect.

Well and the card is ready ;)

I hope you all liked it ..
Do give ur feedback :)
TIA :)
